After demolishing the existing structure, a modern marvel was imagined to take its place, resulting in an interior that begged for materials and finishes that evoked comfort, simplicity and practicality for a family of five. White oak was used as the common thread in the wide plank flooring and cabinetry, allowing the subtle additions of handmade backsplash tiles, quartz countertops and the strategically placed handmade cement tiles to bring surprise and interest. Furnishings throughout tied into the seemingly neutral color scheme, incorporating cool blue and seafoam tones to provide calm and color as needed.
